Job Description

  • Under general supervision, provides pre-sale support for residential and multi-family HVAC systems to Allied’s Distributor Service Representatives (DSRs).
  • Recommends the most suitable systems based on available portfolio, customer requirements and local regulations, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Performs accurate calculations of expanded system performance, ensuring that equipment selection and system design meets customer requirements and local regulations.
  • Performs accurate calculations of pressure drop, refrigerant charge requirements, and system efficiency for systems with long lineset applications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Manages Allied’s Residential Submittal Program for accuracy and optimal user interface.
  • Collaborates with members of Allied’s Technical Services, Sales, and Engineering teams to ensure timely execution of requests.
  • Assists with other duties, such as responding to customers’ requests for Technical Support via email.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent HVAC technical experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in HVAC system design, application engineering, or technical support.
  • Strong ability to perform HVAC calculations related to residential heat pumps, air conditioners, coils, AHUs, furnaces, and package units.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in system calculations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce preferred.
