Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Content Writer with a strong understanding of HVAC systems to create and maintain technical documentation for our HVAC products and systems, as well as develop content writing for content marketing assets such as blog posts, eBooks, white papers, case studies, infographic instructions, and more. The ideal candidate will have excellent storytelling, verbal, and written communication skills in English and the ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and edit technical documentation, such as user manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting guides for HVAC products and systems
  • Gather and analyze technical data from engineers and subject matter experts to create documentation
  • Use technical writing software to create and format documentation
  • Proofread and edit documentation for accuracy and clarity
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Maintain a library of technical documentation for HVAC products and systems
  • Serve as a storyteller for the organization, shifting writing tone and focus depending on the audience or campaign objective
  • Plan and develop regular content cadence to meet creative strategies, content flow processes, and deadlines
  • Maintenance of existing technical documentation based on technical inputs.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in an easily understandable way for the end user.
  • Ability to collaborate with SMEs in the global work environment.
  • Analyze the input from SME & Engineering data to create and update the maintenance documents using technical writing standards.
  • Must be able to collaborate with SMEs to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or a related field
  • 3 – 5  years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the HVAC industry
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with technical writing software, such as DITA or MadCap Flare, is a plus
