Job Description

This designer will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Must be responsible for Designs of Refrigeration and Air conditioning products considering Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, CODE requirements & safety.
  • Work closely with Cross functional teams (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sourcing, Testing...Etc.) to move products from design to manufacturing.
  • Participate in DFMEA, PPAP’s, DFMA & RCFA as required.
  • Review of 2D/3D designs to ensure compliance to standards and best practices.
  • Lead and coordinate design reviews, ensuring approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques.
  • Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
  • Contributes design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
  • Ensures that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
  • This role demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to drive design activities with limited supervision.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 2 years related experience.

Strong oral and written communications skills. Knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools. Knowledge of design tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of SolarEdge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (tooling and fixtures)
  • Experience in PLM (SAP, Teamcenter..)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
