Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Specialist to manage the complete lifecycle of hardware assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will act as the single point of contact for all HAM-related activities and will be responsible for both day-to-day operational tasks and long-term strategic initiatives to ensure optimal use, compliance, and efficiency of all hardware assets. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the central point of contact for all hardware asset management processes and queries. 
  • Own and manage the entire hardware asset lifecycle – from procurement to retirement. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in the Asset Management Database (AMDB). 
  • Coordinate with Procurement, IT Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure compliance with HAM policies. 
  • Perform regular audits, reconciliations, and inventory checks to ensure asset data integrity and compliance. 
  • Analyze asset data to identify trends, opportunities for cost optimization, and process improvements. 
  • Lead and execute strategic initiatives related to asset tracking, governance, and technology refresh cycles. 
  • Ensure proper tagging, tracking, allocation, and disposal of all hardware assets. 
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and corporate policies. 
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership. 
  • Define and continuously improve HAM policies, procedures, and workflows. 
  • Collaborate with global IT and business teams to align hardware asset management practices. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Hardware Asset Management or IT Asset Management. 
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware asset lifecycle and HAM best practices (e.g., ITIL, ISO standards). 
  • Experience using IT Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SSCM, CMDB ). 
  • Proven ability to manage inventories, conduct audits, and maintain accurate asset records. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and drive process improvements. 
  • Experience in managing operations for mid-to-scale organizations is a plus.
